I haven't seen them out much around Chicago this year, but the Lyndon LaRouche squad is usually a staple during the election season driving around in their beat up red suburban and blaring their message over an archaic bull horn. For a number of years, my friends and I were intrigued by the oddness of these guys. That unfortunetly ended a few years back though when I went ran into them all drinking cafe lattes at Starbucks. The Columbia Political Review has a good piece on the man and the movement.
Also don't forget to check out CPR's blog, which, I think, is one of the best out there.
